My Rishikesh Trip

Rishikesh 24 kms. from Hardwar. Located in the laps of lower Himalayas, and is surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides with Holy Ganges flowing through it. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believe that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation. There are many temples-some ancient, some new along the river Ganges. Rishikesh is important not only as pilgrimage centre closely associated with the Ramayana, but for the Yoga and meditation centre. Rishikesh is also the gateway and the start-off point for journeys to important religious places like Badrinath, Neelkanth, Kedarnath, Gangotri and  Yamunotri.
Rishikesh is also acquiring greater significance as a centre for white water rafting, other revering sports, a base for treks and hikes in the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas.

Now my experience of being at that place is awesome. The place full of temples and different pilgrimages is a beauty of India. The river flowing along with these temples makes the view of the place more beautiful. The place of roaming there is the market of it where one can buy hand crafts, wooden toys, gems, glass bead, bangles, etc. Along the river sides some space made for all to have a bath in the river safely. The two bridges of that place are the most famous because they are not made on pillar as the depth of the river was not able to be recognized. So the bridges are stable on the wires along with pillar on the end point of it.

Having ice cream playing in the water is just like a cherry on the top of cake to make it a perfect one.

This one was a memorable trip for me with few of my friends.
